Teacher Biography
Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Joan Potter, and I have been
teaching for twenty-four years at Cassopolis Public Schools. During my time
here, I have been a MEAP Remedial teacher, helped implement the
HOSTS Mentoring Program, and taught in both third grade and fourth grade.
I attended Indiana University at South Bend where I graduated
in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education
with a minor in Reading. Additionally, I have completed post grad-
work at Western Michigan University and Andrews University, attended numerous Education Workshops, and have met the State of Michigan's
"highly qualified" status.
I live on a small farm outside of Cassopolis with my husband,
Steve. We have two grown children and three granddaughters. During my free time, I enjoy walking, gardening, church activities,
and spending time with my family and friends.
